Precautions for the use of TFT display

Please note the following when using this TFT LCD:

1. Installation precautions
(1). An antistatic environment must be used to install the TFT LCD module.
(2). Consideration should be given to the mounting structure so that no uneven forces (e.g., torsional stresses) are applied to the TFT display module. The situation in which the TFT display is mounted should be of sufficient strength so that external forces are not transmitted directly to the module.
(3). Please protect the polarizer by attaching a transparent protective sheet to the surface, which should be strong enough to resist external forces.
(4). Radiant construction shall be used to meet temperature specifications.
(5). Acetic acid-type and chlorine-type materials used for cover shells are not described because the former produces corrosive gases that erode polarizers at high temperatures, and the latter causes circuit breakage through electrochemical reactions.
(6). Do not touch, push or wipe the exposed polarizer with glass, tweezers or anything harder than an HB pencil lead. Do not wipe with chemically treated dusty clothes. Do not touch the surface of the polarizer with bare hands or greasy fabrics.
(7). Wipe away saliva or water droplets as soon as possible; their prolonged contact with the polarizer can cause distortion and discoloration.
(8). Do not open the case as the internal circuitry is not sufficiently strong.
2. Operating Precautions
(1). Spike noise causes the circuit to misoperate. It should be lower than the following voltages: V = ±200mV (overvoltage and undervoltage).
(2). The reaction time depends on the temperature. (It gets longer at lower temperatures.)
(3). Brightness depends on temperature. (At lower temperatures it becomes lower) and at lower temperatures the reaction time (the time required for the brightness to stabilize after switching on) becomes longer.
(4). Beware of condensation during sudden temperature changes. Condensation can damage polarizers or electrical contact parts. Smearing or spotting can occur when the color fades.
(5). When a fixed pattern is displayed for a long time, residual images may appear.
(6). The TFT LCD has high frequency circuitry. Electromagnetic interference should be adequately suppressed by the system manufacturer. Grounding and shielding methods may be important to minimize interference.

3. Electrostatic discharge control
The TFT display is made up of electronic circuits that can be damaged by electrostatic discharge. The operator must wear a static hand strap and be grounded. Do not touch the pins on the interface directly.

4. Preventive measures for strong light exposure
Strong light exposure causes deterioration of polarizers and color filters.

5. Storage Precautions
When the TFT display will be stored as a spare part for a long period of time, the following precautions need to be taken.
(1). Store them in a dark place. Do not expose the modules to sunlight or fluorescent lights. Maintain a temperature of 5°C to 35°C at normal humidity.
(2). Polarizer surfaces should not come into contact with any other objects. It is recommended that they be packaged in shipping

6. Preventive measures for handling protective film
(1). When the protective film is removed, static electricity is generated between the film and the polarizer. This should be peeled off slowly and carefully by electrical grounding and ion blowing equipment or by the person under such conditions.
(2). The protective film will have a small amount of adhesive attached to the polarizer. It is easy to stay on the polarizer. Please peel off the protective film carefully and do not rub it against the polarizer.
(3). When modules with protective film are stored for a long period of time, a very small amount of adhesive is sometimes still present on the polarizer after the protective film has been removed.

7. Other considerations
(1). Avoid applying excessive shock to the TFT display or making any changes or modifications to the module.
(2). Do not leave extra holes in the printed circuit board, modify its shape or replace parts of the TFT module.
(3). Do not disassemble the TFT display.
(4). Do not exceed the absolute maximum ratings or more during operation and use.
(5). Do not drop, bend or twist the TFT display .
(6). Soldering: I/O terminals only.
(7). STORAGE: Store in anti-static container packaging and in a clean environment.
(8). Notice to the customer: Please pay attention to the module when using the module, do not put any tape on the module parts. The tape may damage the functional structure of the parts when it is removed, causing electrical abnormalities in the LCD screen.
If it is unavoidable to apply adhesive tape to a part due to mechanical constraints, the following methods can be used to avoid such an abnormal situation:
(7-1) The adhesive force of the application tape must not be greater than that of [3M-600] tape;
(7-2) There should be no tearing or removing operations after applying the tape;
(7-3) When it is necessary to remove the tape, it is recommended to remove the tape with the aid of heat.
